A Christmas Carol – Drawn and Told
This app was a joint venture between the artist Mike Cole, Alan Snow and myself. The idea for the app was to be an audio book, with beautiful art accompanied by narration throughout by births TV actor Christian Rodska.
Each of the pages (291 in total) were fully illustrated and narrated throughout. To help give the app some movement, I developed a system within Corona SDK, whereby each page would have a specific PAN and ZOOM effect – triggered by events ant timers.
The result was an amazing storybook, that children and adults alike could sit, watch and listen.
NOTE: The app has since been taken down – but was available on iOS, iPhone, iPad, Android, Amazon and the Kindle stores. All coding and development work was done by myself at DBI.
